Well-defined steady-state response does not imply CICS
Systems for which each constant input gives rise to a unique globally attracting equilibrium are considered. A counterexample is provided to show that inputs which are only asymptotically constant may not result in states converging to equilibria (failure of the converging-input converging state, or “CICS” property).
متن کاملEthnic Heterogeneous Teams Outperform Homogeneous Teams on Well-defined but not Ill-defined Creative Task
Purpose – Due to its socio-cultural complexity, the impact of ethnic heterogeneous team on creative task is a two-edge sword. On one hand it will bring high cognitive stimulation and thus enhance creative production. On the other hand, it will lead to attention loading and thus determine concentration and creativity. In handling ill-defined task or well-defined task, the needed attention loadin...
متن کاملGlobal Color is not Always Defined
Far away from a fundamental magnetic monopole of the SU(5) grand unified theory, the full theory reduces to one whose gauge group is unbroken SU(3) ⊗ U(1). The algebra of generators of smooth gauge transformations in this unbroken theory, however, will not in general contain any subalgebra isomorphic to su(3). This means that global color rotations are not always defined. The resulting inabilit...
